Balaji Polymers: An Integrated Packaging Solution Provider of High-Quality PET Preforms and Closures

At that point of time, this was very uncommon in the entire country and this decision helped the company to emerge as a real leader in PET preform for wide mouth preforms especially designed for 2-liter and 5-liter pack sizes. With the motto to have high output lines, another milestone was achieved in year 2014, Balaji Polymers invested in a world-class All- Electric manufacturing setup to acknowledge their responsibility to reduce carbon footprints and produce world class preforms and temper evident closures.

By continuing their decade old relationship, in 2014 Balaji Polymers and B L Agro Industries Ltd tied up for design and development of latest packaging designs in PET bottles and closures and helped each other in implementing one of the first and the only high-speed production line in edible oil segment in India.

In 2004 , Balaji Polymers emerged as a prominent manufacturer and an integrated packaging solution provider of high-quality plastic products. The birthstone was laid down at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in the northern part of India.

Consumers rely on products that are user-friendly, easy to open, temper evident and convenient to use. Balaji Polymers started with wide-mouth closures, and now the company is catering to almost all renowned companies engaged in filling edible oil in India.

Expanding its wings in 2009, Balaji Polymers further invested in PET (Preform production lines) for producing wide neck preforms and successfully experimented with multi-cavity moulds for PET preform production. The happy coincidence here is that its top management comprises techno commercial personal, and they successfully experimented with multi cavity moulds for preform production. An investment in 8 cavity 83mm neck and 4 cavity 120 mm neck with 250 ton fully automatic injection moulding production lines was done.

Today Balaji Polymers is the only company in INDIA dedicatedly producing preforms and closures for edible oil segment on these high-speed lines. Earlier these high-speed production lines were installed only by Coca Cola and Pepsi Convertors. This was a big bet which Balaji Polymers placed in year 2014. The vision was quite clear “Invest in the best and produce the best”. Today, this new facility is a masterpiece having state of art machines with completely controlled air-cooled production area. Whole facility is supported by fully air-conditioned UPS area to provide power backup in case of power failure. Assembly lines have been designed in such a way that even if there is small defect in cap quality it is filtered automatically to rejection bin. “We have always followed no compromise policy on quality, and due to our faith and belief in Quality, Balaji Polymers today supplies to various edible oil industries who go through stringent quality tests,”

Balaji Polymers understands its social responsibility well; hence, it invested in All- Electric machines that save up to 40 % of energy and produce world-class products at the minimum possible cycle time. 29/21 temper evident CTC closures produced by Balaji Polymers are considered as one of the lightest closures in India. That’s one of the many milestones achieved by continuous research and designing at our end. Core focus of Balaji Polymers has always been in packaging development in edible oil segment, and we are committed to do so in years to come. The company has adequate storage facilities, which follow the FIFO principle and have invested in the latest racking warehouse system with electric forklifts. Packaging materials like Gaylords, Pallets and Boxes are recycled to its maximum potential in such a way that product inside them does not disqualify as per quality norms. The company has tie-ups with reputed logistics and C&F agents that assist in timely delivery. Balaji Polymers uses FDA-approved raw materials and pigments and performs quality procedures such as Drop tests, Closure leakage Tests, Top Load etc. All the products are designed using assistance from world class companies like Husky- Luxembourg, Toshiba- Japan, Sidel -France and these designs are approved and validated globally for edible oil segment with most of weight and resin saving. All the products ensures that the quality and dimensions are as per approved international specifications.
